Grupinsa came about in 2004 as the union of 8 companies from the plastics sector. The aim was to offer a solution to the new challenges arising from the global market. The high technical requirements in sectors such as cars, aeronautics, construction, electricity and electrical appliances; the new legislation, much more restrictive as regards quality and the environment; and the arrival of competition from the newly industrialised countries have lead the companies in the plastics sector to propose new strategies.

Grupinsa was created as an innovative strategy that brings together 8 companies from the sector. Each of them specialises in different processes that provide an added-value service, since there is a single supplier: the complete development of the product, from its conception to the production of the final components or pieces. All of this is done fully complying with today’s strict quality regulations (ISO 9001/2000 and ISO 14001).

Of the nearly 160 staff members at Grupinsa, 15% of them work in RDI (Research + Development + Innovation) while 17% of our workforce is made up of engineers, university graduates and qualified technicians. We also have 10,500 m2 of facilities and an industrial park which is less than 4 years old.
